Lin Rongsheng, full-time painter of China National Academy of Painting, member of Chinese Artists Association, member of Chinese Calligraphers Association, Vice-President of Fujian Artists Association, Distinguished Professor and Postgraduate Supervisor of Fujian Normal University, Distinguished Painter of Beijing Tangfeng Gallery.

He was born in 1958 in Fuzhou. He graduated from Department of Fine Arts of Fujian Normal University in 1982.

His artwork used to be exhibited at many major exhibitions like 1989 7th National Art Exhibition, 1993 1st National Chinese Painting Exhibition, 1994 8th National Art Exhibition Excellent Artwork Exhibition, 1997 Contemporary Chinese Art Exhibition, 1999 9th National Art Exhibition, 2001 Centenary Chinese Painting Exhibition, 2003 Beijing International Art Biennial Exhibition, 2004 44th National Art Exhibition, and won the First Prize of 1989 Contemporary Chinese Fine Brushwork Landscape Painting Exhibition, the Bronze Prize of 1991 “Four Seasons Of China” Art Exhibition, the Bronze Prize of 1992 1st National Chinese Landscape Painting Exhibition, the Gold Prize of 1994 2nd Maple Leaf Award International Ink Wash Painting Exhibition and Excellence Award of 1999 9th National Art Exhibition. Some of his works have also been collected by China Art Museum and Chinese Painting Institute and included in large art collections like A Complete Collection Of Contemporary Chinese Fine Arts and Contemporary Landscape Painting Corpus. Publications include Refined Collection Of Contemporary Chinese Paintings—Lin Rongsheng and Lin Rongsheng’s New Fine Brushwork Landscape Paintings.
